The Course is unique in that it provides conservation education, training and research opportunities based on collaboration between working museums, institutions and practices and internationally recognised centres of academic excellence. Each year, the Course offers a range of specialised practical conservation and research opportunities at postgraduate level. The options available change from year to year depending on the availability of supervision, space and other resources. MA options are intended to provide training and education which will lead to a career in conservation and give graduates a particular area of expertise. MPhil and PhD options are intended to provide graduate conservation students, working conservators or graduates from other disciplines with the opportunity to undertake serious research of relevance to conservation. The official closing date for applications for 1997/98 is 22 January 1997. This may be extended a little but please make every effort to contact us and submit your application before this date.
