Kirby vacuum cleaners

Consumer Reports in January 1995 analyzed a number of vacuum
cleaners, including the Kirby. We did a summary of the Consumer
Reports article, from a museum standpoint, in The Upper Midwest
Collections Care Network Vol. 1, no. 4 (Summer 1995).  The Kirby G4
($1,350) rated highest in dust retention as well as other factors
tested.  A close second was Eureka Bravo! The Boss 9334DT ($95). If
price is a factor, the Eureka may be your choice.  The article is
interesting and worth reading.
