Blue wool scales

Our firm has been researching degradation as a result of exposure to
incandescent and fluorescent lighting, in conjunction with UV damage.
We are working with the Slide Rule issued by the CCI, and  we need
to find out what the Blue Wool Standards 1-8 can be compared to. For
example-do we use standard "8" when attempting to measure damage to
a watercolor painting? Thanks,
