Subject: Solvents for epoxy
This is in answer to Mark Vines inquiry about a solvent for removing Epo-Tek 301-2. France Remillard wrote a paper (Journal of the IIC-GC, volume 14, 1989, p12) concerning the swelling of several epoxies. Epo-Tek 301-2 was one of the epoxies that she studied. She found that chloroform was the best sweller followed by methylene chloride, then THF, and then a 1:1 mix of DMF:THF. She did not test ethyl lactate.
