The Greater Bay Area Library and Information System is sponsoring a
series of teleconferences in the new year.  One may be of interest
to DistList readers:

January 31
    In Face of Disaster
    featuring Barclay Ogden, Head, Conservation Department, Library,
    University of California, Berkeley
        Preservation Program Planning is imperative: uncover
        potential problems, possible actions and see how to set
        priorities appropriate to your library.  Experience CALIPR,
        a software package for preservation needs assessment used by
        42 California libraries in conjunction with the development
        of the statewide California Preservation Program.  Learn
        about resources,information and training necessary to
        implement needed preservation action.
