Subject: Storage of CD's
My supervisor wants to have compact discs stored in our regular library stack areas right along with the books. Does anyone do this? If so, what type of container do you use? A search of CoOL did not reveal any information on shelving compact discs with books. We have had pockets made in back of books to hold cassettes and other materials and put in the stacks. If there is no text accompanying the CD, then making a container seems problematic to me. Does anyone have any suggestions? Merle Kimball Serials Collection Management and Preservation Librarian E.G.
