Removing rust stains

In Conservation DistList Instance: 10:33, Laura Binns asked how to
remove rust stains from starched white cuffs.  The traditional
method of doing this was to use a solution of oxalic acid (toxic!)
which would complex with the iron salts.  No doubt other complexing
agents (eg EDTA) would work as well or better.  After carrying out
this treatment the traditional nurse would launder and starch her
cuffs, but you might not want to do this.
