This workshop focuses on the effects of fire on records and library
materials, as well fire prevention and mitigation issues.

The San Jose Fire Department will conduct a demonstration burn of
disposable records and library materials, and participants will
witness the burn and be conducted on a tour of the results.

Schedule:

 9:00  registration and coffee
 9:30  introduction
10:00  fire demonstration
10:30  walkthrough and discussion
11:00  sprinkler system tour and presentation
11:30  lunch
 1:00  arson and other fire causes
 1:45  mitigation, planning, and standards
 2:30  break
 2:45  mutual aid
 3:30  wrap-up
