NYU Bobst Library Preservation Department is please to announce the
first lecture in the Barbara Lubin Goldsmith Preservation and
Conservation Lecture Series entitled "Assessing Long-Term
Environmental Effects in Library and Archives Collections".  The
speaker, James Reilly from IPI, will discuss the PI/TWPI index tool
assessing storage environments as described in the Commission on
Preservation and Access publication.

The Barbara Lubin Goldsmith Preservation and Conservation Lecture
Series will sponsor lectures and other events semi-annually for at
least two years.  Planned future topics include the influence of
design binding on conservation techniques, environmental controls
and HVAC systems, and theory and practice in modern book
