I am cross-posting this for a colleague who is not presently on this
list, but she does have access to e-mail and so if anyone has any advice
for her you could respond to her directly and I know she'd be grateful.
Thanks. -- C. Tancin

    Subject: Epoxy floor covering

Greetings: Is epoxy floor covering all right to use in a special
collection? My floors are cement, dyed red to a depth of about
1/4 inch, and Id like to just wash and keep them as is. I have
been told they would "look better" with an epoxy coating. I
don't agree either aesthetically or as a conservation measure,
but I don't know all the issues. Please let me know if you do.
    Sincerely, Jane Cole.
