Anyone on this list want to take a crack (oops! poor choice of word) at
this question?

    Subject: Phonorecord restoration

        Does anyone out there know of a way to remove scratches from
        phonograph records?  This is the vinyl type 33-1/3 recent
        recording, not one of the old 78's.  The scratch needing to
        be removed is one long scratch that occurred by dropping the
        record and attempting to retrieve it, resulting the
        offending mark. Thanks for your help,
