Dear Ms. Mincio and Mr. Corsino,

In the reading room at the Humanities Research Center "book
supports" are used to hold and protect books while they are in use.
At the most recent American Institute for the Conservation of
Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) meeting these book supports were
displayed along with a hand-out describing their construction. Many
other clever housing and handling ideas were presented and it is
possible that a publication covering the pre-conference will be
issued in the future. Until it comes out, if you are interested I
can send you a copy of the "book support" hand-out. Reply by e-mail
if you want it.
