PARS Preservation Course and Workshop Instructors Discussion Group

The ALCTS/PARS (Preservation of Library Materials
Section/Preservation and Reformatting Section, ALA) Preservation
Course and Workshop Instructors Discussion Group will meet at the
American Library Association annual meeting in New York on Sunday,
July 7, 1996, 2-4 p.m. at the Waldorf Astoria-Park Ave., Suite C.

Discussion will focus on

    Evaluation of preservation workshops and short courses: how do
    you tell whether what you are teaching is truly being learned,
    especially in short, one-day, and less-than-one-day workshops?

To kick off discussion, representatives from two of the regional
preservation centers will present updates on their experiences and
evaluation projects: Christine Wiseman and Sharla Richards, Field
Service Officers, SOLINET; and Steve Dalton, Director of Field
Service, NEDCC.
