Re:  Claire Dean's questions on graffiti and public awareness.

Several communities in the Calgary are have had great success
controlling graffiti by initiating mural project on public
buildings.  The mural programmes are particularly effective when you
involve the local teenagers.

The community next door to the one I live in (known as Marlborough)
had a big problem with graffiti on the side of the community centre
which has essentially stopped since they painted their mural.

Although this does not solve the problem at rock art sites, it goes
a long way to educate young people on the importance of the site.
