A periodical for archives, libraries, museums and collectors of
photography:

Rundbrief Fotografie (Photography Newsletter)
Collecting - Preserving - Making accessible - Exhibiting

For all professionals and serious amateurs who concern themselves
with collecting and preserving photographs, since the beginning of
1984 a quarterly periodical offers valuable information. It is
directed to interested readers in the field of art, art history and
cultural history, especially people producing, conserving,
documenting or exhibiting photographs.

Rundbrief Fotografie combines concise information, both from home
and abroad, about day-to-day collecting practice methods (including
computerized data processing), about ways of presentation,
photographic techniques, and about the new media. It draws from
expert knowledge from several countries as well as from practical
experiences of professionals and serious amateurs in Germany.

The topical articles in Rundbrief Fotografie have been exclusively
written to appear in this journal. They are complemented by
information, collected from widespread array of sources, about
literature and workshops on the subject, and about sources of
supply, there are searchlists, short notes on exhibitions and
collections, and more.

Four issues of Rundbrief Fotografie are going to appear every year,
each sized 40 pages at least and containing illustrations in
black-and-white. The yearly subscription price is DEM 60,-(or DEM
80,- to sponsor free issues for colleagues in Eastern Europe). Most
of the articles and informations are written in German, but
contributions in English in French are published in their original
language.

Rundbrief Fotografie is edited by the working group "Fotografie im
Museum" of the Museumsverband Baden-Wurtemberg in cooperation with
the Historical Section of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Photographie
(DGPh).
