The following companies carry supplies for cleaning and deodorizing
of fire damaged materials. Please note that there has been some
debate about the use of chemical sponges on collection materials,
particularly special collections.

    Re-Oda Chemical Engineering Co.
    Chagrin Falls, OH
    216-247-4131

    Unsmoke Systems, Inc.
    Braddock, PA
    800-332-6037

    American Freeze-Dry, Inc.
    Audubon, NJ
    609-546-0777

Non-woven fabrics such as Pellon and Reemay are available from most
archival suppliers (Gaylord 800-448-6160; University Products
800-628-1912) and may be found at some fabric stores. Blotter paper
can be ordered from archival suppliers or found at art supply
stores.
