The National Centre for Cultural Heritage Science Studies (NCCHSS)
seeks to appoint a Lecturer to develop and teach the paper
conservation major at the Bachelor's and Master's degree level, and
supervise research by undergraduate and postgraduate students. The
major includes: teaching the history and technology of paper based
materials; the causes of deterioration; library and archive
preservation and the techniques of paper conservation. The NCCHSS
has a laboratory specifically for teaching paper conservation.

You will have a degree in cultural materials and have at least five
years experience in the conservation of paper based materials
(including artwork) in libraries, archives or other cultural
institutions. Previous teaching experience is not essential.

The position is available for five years.
