Federal actions concerning preservation

I am trying to compile a list of any actions that have been taken in
regard to Preservation by Congress or other Federal Agency.  This is for a
list to be published by the White House Conference on Library and
Information Services Taskforce.  It is a continuation of the White House
Conference of 1991.
