Registration packages are now available for the 22nd Annual
Conference and Workshop of the International Institute for
Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works - Canadian Group
(IIC-CG) to be held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada,  from May 21-26,
1996.

"Those Pests in Collections: Control of Insects and Fungi in
Cultural Institutions"
IIC-CG Annual Workshop

The workshop will consist of hands-on sessions, demonstrations and
lectures.

Practical sessions:

    *   Identification clinics for insects and fungi found on
        collections.

    *   Demonstration of the use of some of the most recent
        trapping, monitoring and control methods, (pheromones,
        modified atmospheres and thermal control methods).

IIC-CG Annual Conference
24-26 May 1996
Montreal, QC Canada

Papers on various aspects of theory, practice and administration of
conservation and conservation science will be presented. A poster
session and a trade fair will also be included in the program.
Simultaneous translation will be provided in English and French.
Special events will include a tour of conservation laboratories of
Montreal main museums,  various receptions and a banquet in the
glass court of the new building of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
