Symposium on heritage conservation

ADMITECH organizes on June 24, 1996 in Paris, in collaboration with
the UNESCO a symposium on "Innovation and Technology Devoted to
Mankind's Heritage". We are looking for actions of study,
conservation, restoration and valorization of patrimony, everywhere
around the world, that are innovating or that have utilized new
technologies.

Within the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the UNESCO,
Federico Mayor, General Manager of the UNESCO, will preside and open
the symposium.

Program :

First Workshop: presided by Michel Collardelle, Do des Musees de
France Search and find techniques, pinpoint location methods,
excavation sit management using new technologies (Location of buried
structures, locating voids, Submarine research, operational
management of excavation sites using new technologies)

Second Workshop: presided by JP Mohen, Dr of the French Museums
Research Laboratory Analysis, restoration and conservation of
archaeological and museums artefacts

Third Workshop: presided by T. Chambolle, Dr Gal Adjoint Lyonnaise
des Eaux Study and preservation of aquatic sites

Fourth Workshop: presided by P. Mamillan, ICOMOS Preservation and
conservation of monuments and sites (Stone dressing and
preservation, sites preservation and protection from water ingress
and damage, preservation and protection of foundations)

Fifth Workshop: presided by M. Roddaz, President of the IRAM
Representation and valorization of monuments with image technologies
(modelization of sites and monuments, reconstitution of sites and
monuments)

Sixth Workshop: Tourism and sites (Impact study, lightning of
monuments and sites, theater and patrimony, scenic utilization).
