    Jim Lindner, president of Vidipax, a company providing magnetic
    media analysis, restoration, and conservation, will discuss how
    to handle, store, and preserve the valuable magnetic tapes in
    your collection; how to establish priorities for preservation;
    cleaning and remastering tapes; changes in technology and
    practice. $95 registration fee includes lunch.

Preserving Slides and Transparencies: Today's Realities and
    Tomorrow's Technologies

    Christine Sundt, Visual Resources Curator at the University of
    Oregon, author of Conservation Practices for Slide and
    Photograph Collections, and columnist for VRA Bulletin, will
    present this one day program which will cover how to
    troubleshoot common problems with color and black and white
    slides; environmental requirements for viewing and storage;
    masking and mounting film in glass binders; choosing supplies,
    equipment, and furnishings for slides.  $95 registration fee
    includes lunch.
