Subject: Call for Papers
Contributing authors are needed for a publication on fill materials used in the conservation of 3-dimensional objects. Authors willing to write review articles, short contributions, or to provide bibliographic entries are being solicited. Possible topics include: (1) traditional/obsolete materials, (2) bulked conservation adhesive materials, i.e. fills based on B-72, cellulose ethers, BEVA, epoxy, etc., (3) transparent or translucent, reversible fill materials, i.e. for enamels, stone, etc., (4) vinyl based proprietary fill materials, (5) fills for outdoor applications, (6) fills for modern synthetic works. The articles and contributions are being solicited and compiled by a committee of members of the Objects Specialty Group. All materials will be presented to the AIC Journal for publication in a special issue devoted to fill materials. Please contact Ellen Pearlstein and Jane Williams at The Brooklyn Museum before April 15, 1996 to indicate your interest. Short contributions will be welcome through June, 1996.
