Digital Training Workshops: Use of Digital Image Technology for Preservation and Access Cornell University, Ithaca, New York January 13-18, 1996 March 17-22, 1996 Co-sponsored by: The Commission on Preservation And Access The Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation Hewlett-Packard Company Several vacancies are available for the January and March Digital Imaging Workshops at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Cornell University Library Department of Preservation and Conservation is offering two additional week-long workshops on the use of digital imaging technology for preservation and access. The first will be held January 13-18, 1996 and the second one March 17-22, 1996 in Ithaca, New York. Enrollment in these intensive workshops is limited to just sixteen individuals each so as to ensure adequate lab time for participants. **** Moderator's comments: Details about these workshops have been posted before and are available in in CoOL at http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/byform/mailing-lists/cdl/1995/0801.html The registration fee for this workshop is $1,350. If you are interested in attending the January workshop, please let us know immediately. Advance readings will be sent out directly and lodging arrangements must be made within the next two weeks. Anne R. Kenney and Stephen Chapman will serve as the principal faculty for these workshops. They will be joined by James Reilly, who will present a session on digital conversion of photographic materials, and Carl Lagoze, who will present a session on indexing and database management. Enrollment for each workshop is limited to 16 participants.
