Restoration of mosaics in situ

With reference to the treatment of in situ mosaics, the
International Committee on the Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM) is
holding their 6th meeting and conference, "Mosaics Make a Site: the
Conservation In Situ of Mosaics on Archaeological Sites" in Nicosia,
Cyprus, 24-28 October 1996.  Co-organized by the Getty Conservation
Institute and the University of Cyprus, inquiries should be directed
to Professor Demetrios Michaelides, Archaeological Research Unit,
University of Cyprus, Kallipoleos, Nicosia (Fax: 357 02 474101).
The deadline for abstracts is 31 December 1995 and the conference
brochure describes the themes and includes a registration card.
