Changes in IMS procedures

IMS Reports Two Changes: one for TAG and one for GOS. Beginning with
Fiscal 1996, the IMS will combine Technical Assistance Grants (TAG)
with the Professional Services Program (PSP) which makes awards to
associations to serve their members.  PSP awards are available to
state, regional, and national museum service organization.

As for General Operating Support, the National Museum Services Board
decided to require museums that receive two consecutive GOS grants
to "sit out" the following competition.  This change will begin with
FY'96 and means that a museum that receives a FY96/97 grant and then
a FY'98/99 grant will not be eligible to apply for the FY 2000/2001
competition.
