Barcoding and security systems

Our students already think that by peeling off the barcode label,
they can steal a book without setting off the alarm. Lucky for the
collection, the security strip is still hiding in the book after the
barcode label is gone. We would lose many books if barcode labels
and security strips were one and the same.
