Disaster preparedness manual available

The revised edition (1994) of the Western New York Disaster
Preparedness and Recovery Manual for Libraries and Archives is now
available from the Western New York Library Resources Council
(WNYLRC).  A sourcebook for developing individualized disaster
plans, it contains basic information concerning disaster planning,
assigning collection, priorities, protection of collections,
emergency preparedness, and response and recovery procedures.  Lists
of disaster services, service providers, supplies and suppliers are
included (note: many of these suppliers are local to Western New
York though some national disaster services are listed).  There is a
worksheet section consisting of forms to be filled in with local
information such as floor plans, names of disaster team members,
fire detection and suppression equipment, and in-house resources.
