The University of Notre Dame will be the site for a video conference
on "Mass Deacidification for paper-based collections". The program
will be broadcast live via satellite and will feature a panel of
experts in the field of mass deacidification. Participants will be
able to question the panel by phone or E-mail, and receive answers
on the air.  This video is being sponsored by the Preservation
Department of the Notre Dame University Libraries in cooperation
with Robert Morris College & the Pittsburgh Regional Library Center.

Participants will learn about

    *   The history of mass deacidification

    *   The role of mass deacidification in preservation programs

    *   The status of research in the mass deacidification field

    *   Selection criteria for mass deacidification

    *   Funding issues related to mass deacidification
