Dunnage

Regarding Henry Grunder's inquiry for "dunnage" to fill spaces wile
moving his collection:

When packing wedding gowns for long term storage, I use a
combination of 100% rag, acid-free tissue (very expensive), and
ethafoam. The ethafoam is a polyethylene foam which comes in large
rolls of various thicknesses, from 1/16 in to 1/2 inch. When
purchased in large rolls (about 5 feet by 200 feet long) it is not
expensive.  It's easy to cut, flat, chemically neutral, reusable,
white, and can be stapled. I believe it is a "Dow" product, I
purchase mine from a supplier of industrial packaging supplies.  I
suggest at least 1/4 inch thickness for this purpose,  the thinner
sheets are used to package stereos and furniture.

PS I have always found "Bubble pack" to be a pain to handle. Should
you decide to use "peanuts", make sure you have an industrial-type
vacuum around.
