    For cultural institution that suffered damage as a result of
    Hurricane Opal, the National Institute for the Conservation of
    Cultural Property (NIC) stands ready to provide them with initial
    disaster response advice as well as short and long term recovery
    recommendations.  This information was assembled by NIC in
    conjunction with the American Institute for Conservation of Historic
    & Artistic Works (AIC) and the National Park Service (NPS) and with
    the assistance of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the
    National Trust for Historic Preservation.
