I found in the in-house magazine of the courier company DHL, april
1993, this article:

"Boxing clever...(blah blah blah)...A new product from the
States...eco-friendly... AIR BOX is designed to give maximum
protection to even the most fragile items, wrapping them in a
protective barrier of air, suspending them to protect them from
shock, vibration and breakage....products of almost any shape or
finish... Made from a twin layer of plastic.

That is in England, so call +44 1905 774 275.

It seems to be two balloons with the object sandwiched between - in
the picture it *looks* pretty good but I haven't used it or seen it in
the flesh. The example object was a camera.
