University College London, Institute of Archaeology English Heritage Contract Conservator Post Applications are invited for the post of Archaeological Conservator in the Department of Conservation and Museum Studies. The post is funded by English Heritage and will run until 31 March 1997, with the possibility of renewal thereafter. The conservator will work mainly on material from excavations funded by English Heritage, but will also undertake some research, probably relating to site preservation. Ten percent of the conservator's time will be allocated to the teaching and research of the Department. Applicants should have a recognised qualification in archaeological conservation, preferably with several years' experience. Salary will be in the range GBP 14,317 to GBP 21,519, plus London weighting of GBP 2,134.
