Cold storage for mammal skins

From: Michelle Berry <mberry>
Date: Wednesday, August 2, 1995
The Museum of Victoria has been storing its mammal skins in cold
storage for a very long time (so I'm told). Obviously from a pest
management point of view its a good thing but is there any evidence
to suggest that cold storage has other beneficial effects on the
skins. Perhaps preventing hair slip? Does anyone have any
information on this topic?
