Conservation technicians

I have been asked to collect data regarding job descriptions, titles
and salaries for Preservation Repair Technicians.  Thus far I have
accumulated many surveys from many places including, www, gopher,
CoOL, Library Mosaics etc. but unfortunately none of them include
the exact information I need.  Can anyone lead me to a source for
this information.  I need to know what the techs are making across
the country and to what degree of expertise do they have in the
various job descriptions.  For instance, our techs are highly
skilled in minor, intermediate and major repairs, special
collection, enclosures etc. and they are classified at TECH II.  The
department is trying to get them upgraded but we have found no
concrete information.  Would greatly appreciate any leads. Thanks so
