Bishop Museum

A full time permanent position presently committed to 75% on current
NEH funded two-year project to transfer ethnology collections to new
storage. Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of the
project and monitoring of technicians and volunteers in handling
collections and fabricating custom storage housings.  Other
responsibilities include treatments and general lab duties;
providing advice and assistance to the public and museum staff; lab
supervision of technician, interns and volunteers.  The candidate
should be a graduate of a recognized conservation training program,
preferably with a specialty in ethnographic conservation, with
excellent preventive conservation and organizational skills, and an
interest in natural science conservation.  Entry level to
mid-career; salary commensurate with experience. Upon hire,
