Field testing library bindings

From: Julian Stam <jstam>
Date: Friday, June 16, 1995
If anyone is interested in participating in a program to field test
library bindings or would like information about the process, please
contact me at jstam [at] fas__harvard__edu.

The objective is to establish a long-term program which tests the
longevity of library bindings under actual storage and use
conditions. We would like to pinpoint structural and material
deficiencies through examination of volumes in many types of
libraries and environments.

Sample sizes will vary depending on the capabilities of the
participating institutions, so if you think your library could make
a commitment to doing a small survey, reviewing the same volumes
several times over a period of years, please contact me for details.
Thank you in advance for your time and interest,
