Ljubljana, 3-5 July 1996

The Central Conservation and Restoration Laboratory for Paper and
Parchment is organizing the International Symposium on Book and
Paper Conservation in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, from 3. to
5. July 1996.

Topics:

    *   medieval books

    *   modern records (photographs, art on paper, documents on
        tracing papers, ...)

Purpose of the Symposium:

    *   exchanging of professional ideas on conservation and
        restoration techniques and preservation;

    *   acquainting our managing staff, archivists, museum/gallery
        curators, librarians and other individuals with the
        experiences of colleagues abroad;

    *   discussing situations, problems and solutions;

    *   informing about accessibility of materials through modern
        information technologies;

    *   presenting restoration and conservation activities in
    Slovenia.


The language of the Symposium will be Slovene and English.
Simultaneous translation will be available.
