Steve Dalton

The Northeast Document Conservation Center, in Andover,
Massachusetts, announces the appointment of Steve Dalton to the
position of Field Service Director.  Steve has served for two years
as Director of Reprographic Services at NEDCC.  Before joining
NEDCC's staff in 1993, he had experience both as a library
administrator and as an educator. He holds an MLS from Simmons
College.

The Field Service Office, which is the consulting arm of NEDCC,
coordinates the center's outreach services, including surveys,
workshops, answering technical inquiries, distributing technical
leaflets, and disaster assistance.  The program has received major
funding from NEH since 1980.  A strong educational component is an
important part of NEDCC's mission.  Steve follows Karen Motylewski,
NEDCC's Field Service Director for 8 years, who left the Center on
March 31, 1995 to become Director of Conservation Educations
Programs at the University of Texas at Austin.
