Labeling encapsulated materials

In response to Sherry Byrne's problem of labeling encapsulated maps:
By far the best solution, assuming you are using mylar, is to
encapsulate the label into the mylar (outside the space housing the
object) using an ultrasonic welder.

If you do not have a ultrasonic welder, I would recommend housing
the mylar-encapsulated maps inside slightly larger folders,
preferably in 40 or 60 pt. lignin-free folders. The folders
themselves can be lightly labeled with #3 pencils.
