Wood sealants

From: Mary Gissing <mgissing>
Date: Tuesday, April 25, 1995
We are wishing to learn of the results of any testing carried out on
proprietary products, available in North America, used to seal wood
fiber boards and plywoods to prevent them from off/out-gassing. We
have conducted a literature search, and are aware that not all of
these boards off/out gas. However, we are particularly interested in
the results of tests on materials and products available in North
America, undertaken within the past three years (testing methods
such as those suggested by W. A. Oddy, or S. M. Blackshaw and V. D.
Daniels)

In addition, we are interested to hear why the product/material was
chosen, and of any problems that may have been experienced using
this product or material.
