Conservation nomenclature

Although I have had only a brief opportunity to browse the proposed
conservation definitions, I felt I should jump in immediately on the
definition of the term Cultural property. Is there a particular reason
why the adjective "ethnographic" is not used? I'm coming from an
Italian perspective, where it is used in the legislation governing the
field. That legislation is very dated, however. Has this term been
superseded? Is it non-p.c.? What does one use instead?
