Software for slide labelling and cataloging

Can anyone recommend (preferably backed by personal experience), a
combined slide labelling and cataloging software package? I am looking
for a program that uses the information you enter for the label as the
basis for an entry in a catalog. I'd like to be able to search for
images within the catalog using keywords and the like. The program must
print on the small 1 7/8 inch x 7/16 inch labels using a Hewlett Packard
Desk Jet 500. The software would be used on a Packard Bell 486 multi
media personal computer with 8MB of RAM and lots of hard disk space.
The program needs to be easy to learn and use (like everyone, there are
not enough hours in my day!). A good online help feature would be
appreciated as well as a readable manual.

I have been trying to find a commercially available program and have come
up with one which was recently re-released as an updated version of an
earlier edition. It is called Laserware Plus. Frankly it falls well
short of what its literature claims it can do (which is what I described
above) - I'm being polite in this assessment.

I need this software for my own, never ending, slide collection and to
handle a specific, very large and complex, conservation project due to
start in May of this year.
