Course on on-site archaeological conservation

The Middle Eastern Culture Center in Japan is sponsoring a 2 week long
training course entitled "Archaeological Conservation in the Field" and
will address the on-site care of archaeological materials.  It will run
from June 19-30 1995, and will be held in Turkey at the Centers
excavations at Kaman-Kalehoyuk.  The course is designed for
archaeologists actively working in the field, preferably in Turkey.  The
course will be held in English and the instructor is J. Claire Dean,
Dean & Associates Conservation Sources. There is no enrollment fee and
food and lodging will be provided. If any conservators know of
individuals who may wish to apply please ask them to contact me as soon
as possible.
