Subject: Course on on-site archaeological conservation
The Middle Eastern Culture Center in Japan is sponsoring a 2 week long training course entitled "Archaeological Conservation in the Field" and will address the on-site care of archaeological materials. It will run from June 19-30 1995, and will be held in Turkey at the Centers excavations at Kaman-Kalehoyuk. The course is designed for archaeologists actively working in the field, preferably in Turkey. The course will be held in English and the instructor is J. Claire Dean, Dean & Associates Conservation Sources. There is no enrollment fee and food and lodging will be provided.
