In the corrugated box industry, "Virgin kraft" usually refers to the brown kraft corrugated linerboard you see in packing and shipping boxes. If the color is brown, it is unbleached, which means none of the lignin has been removed. The middle part, the fluted "medium" is normally a brown recycled paper which uses alum/rosin sizing and is full of lignin, and therefore not appropriate for use in conservation.
