Traces the history of metallurgy in China as reflected in archaeological
finds.  Particular stress is put on alien influences on Chinese
metallurgy and their assimilation.

Note: this lecture takes place the day before the Association of Asian
Studies Meeting in Washington.  The Galleries will be open until 6:00,
