Contract Appointment
Title:  Associate Librarian II
Location:  Preservation Department, Technical Services Division,
McKeldin Library

Salary:  Commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:  To administer the preservation microfilming contract
for the Prange Collection newspapers, coordinating tasks with the
Assistant Curator of the Prange Collection.  To monitor the contract and
to evaluate the contract for quality of production and quality of the
film products.  To instruct the vendor, as needed, to maintain
contracted preservation microfilming standards.

Qualifications:  Required:  MLS degree from an ALA-accredited graduate
library school.  One year professional library experience.  Preferred:
Experience managing preservation microfilming projects or programs.
Knowledge of the Japanese language.  Supervisory experience.

Benefits:  22 days annual leave;  14 paid holidays;  15 days sick leave
