Jo Burgess receives White Award

Jo Burgess, head of collections conservation at Indiana University
Libraries, is one of two recipients of the first Herbert and Virginia
White Professional Development Award.  Herbert White, former dean of the
IU School of Library and Information Science, created and endowed the
annual award to recognize, and to provide encouragement and support for,
IU Libraries employees who have earned the Master of Library Science
degree and who seek to improve themselves within their field.  Ms.
Burgess received support to take classes at the American Academy of
Bookbinding in Telluride, Colorado.
