NY Conservation Association meeting

The next meeting of the New York Conservation Association will be held
Thursday, 16 February, at 6:00pm, at the Institute of Fine Arts (1 East
78th St.  NY, NY)  The meeting is titled: Inside Conservation
Laboratories:  Armchair Visits.

Organized by Karen Yager, speakers will include:

    Chris Paulocik, Textile Conservator, The Costume Institute,
    Metropolitan Museum of Art

    Carolyn Tomkiewicz, Paintings Conservator, The Brooklyn Museum

    Mary Todd Glaser, Paper Conservator, Northeast Document Conservation
    Center

Upcoming meetings of the NYCA

    March 9:  Fernando Nieto, Metropolitan Museum of Art:  "Detection
    and quantification of fungal biomass in wooden objects using firefly
    bioluminescence"

    May:  "Collaborative projects in art:  Models for artist/conservator
    collaboration"

NYCA meetings are open to the public.  $7 admission; $4 for students,
IFA students free.
