Vacuum cleaners for mold

The HEPA Vacuum at the Missouri State Archives and Local Records Program
is 3M's Professional Portable Vacuum.  Filter Type 1 captures 1-2 micron
material; Filter Type 2 captures 2-20 micron material; and Filter Type 3
captures 20-100 micron material.  Type 1 filters run about $25.00; Type
2 $18.00; and Type 3 $15.00 and the machines cost approximately $235.00
from distributor, Light Impressions.  We received approximately a 10%
discount when we ordered more than one.

CCAHA's Technical Series No. 1 on MOLD is well and concisely written. It
is available from CCAHA (Conservation Center for Art and Historic
Artifacts, Philadelphia, PA) or through Solinet (Southeastern library
Network, Atlanta, GA).  The brochure is well organized, easy to read,
and informative.
