Collection Conservation Task Force

During the upcoming American Library Association meeting in
Philadelphia, the Collection Conservation Task Force of the Preservation
and Reformatting Section (PARS) of ALCTS will meet on Sunday February 5
from 8 - 9 a.m. in the Wyndham Franklin Hotel, Conference Center
Ballroom.

Staff at Collection Conservation Technician Training sites will discuss
the successes and pitfalls (if they exist) of their projects.  The
funding of future projects will also be a topic of discussion.  (Most
of the projects have been funded through the NEH.)

Institutional training sites are:

     Emory University - Southeastern U.S.
     University of California, Berkeley - California and Hawaii
     University of Utah - Mountain and Plains states
     University of Washington - Northwestern U.S.

In addition, AMIGOS, BookLab and the University of Texas at Austin
collaborated and offered a one week training program for institutions in
the Southwestern U.S.
